Jersey Shore defeated South Williamsport, 5-0, in boys tennis. Ryder Fink defeated Wyatt Robbins, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Saul Hensler won at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 6-2. At No. 3 singles Abram Paulhamus won in three sets over Carson Harris, rallying from a 7-6 first-set loss to win 6-1, 6-3.

• The Lock Haven softball team fell in a pair of hard-fought PSAC Eastern games, 3-1 and 8-7, at the hands of visiting Shepherd on Friday afternoon at Lawrence Field.

Lock Haven is now 14-22 overall and 8-18 in the PSAC East. Shepherd improved to 19-16-1 on the season and 15-8-1 in the conference.

In game two, Blaire Balestrini hit her tenth home run of the season. The freshman is now tied for the conference lead in home runs and is the first Bald Eagle to reach double-digits in long balls since the 2019 season.

Game one was a pitcher’s dual that featured just nine hits between the two clubs.

Lock Haven opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning when Maci Brodzina doubled to deep center field to plate Bella Schmitt.

• The Lock Haven baseball team soared to a 12-2 victory in game two of a PSAC Western Division doubleheader at Shepherd on Friday afternoon. Shepherd won the opener 5-4.

In game two, Lock Haven bats could do no wrong as the Bald Eagles notched a game-high 11 hits, which led to 12 runs en route to a 12-2 victory.

Lock Haven led 4-1 after three innings of play, but erupted for eight runs over the final two innings to secure the victory and the split on the day. Bryce Vincent powered the explosive Lock Haven offense as he went a perfect 4 for 4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Morgan Billotte (two RBIs) and Stephen McMillan (RBI) both finished with two hits, including a pair of doubles by Billotte.

Ethan Nagy doubled and drove in a pair, while Zachary McEllroy and Nick White picked up RBIs.
