NEW ORLEANS – The Lock Haven men’s track & field team landed six student-athletes on the 2024-25 Atlantic All-Region Team, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday afternoon.
Matthew Muthler (1st, heptathlon), Nick Bellomo (heptathlon), Ryan Miller (400-meter), Eric Zalar (weight throw) and the 400-meter relay quartet of Miller, Muthler, Brennan Miller and Aydan Summers were all named 2024-25 All-Region athletes in the Atlantic.
Miller and Muthler earned a pair of All-Region honors.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region’s top-3 relay teams.
Muthler broke the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record for points scored in the heptathlon at the conference championships on March 1, after racking up an incredible 5291 points over the two-day event. Throughout the two days, Muthler topped the field in three events, the high jump, shot put and the 1000-meter with a leap of 1.96-meters (6-05), a throw of 12.28-meters (40-03.50) and a time of 2:36.00.
Muthler’s total landed him the top position in the Atlantic Region and a trip to the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championship as the seven seed in Indianapolis on Thursday-Friday (March 13-14).
Bellomo joined Muthler in the top-5 in the heptathlon after scoring 4857 points at the conference championships to rank fourth in the Atlantic Region. Bellomo also joined Muthler on the program’s heptathlon top-5 list.

R. Miller ran to all-region honors with the third over time in the 400-meter dash after blazing to a 48.06 time at the Penn State Tune Up (Feb. 21). R. Miller, who set the 400m program-record in 2023, went on to win a silver medal at the PSAC Championships.
