LHU’s Robinson earns PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honor

Lock Haven women’s basketball standout Alana Robinson earned her third consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced.

The first-place Bald Eagles have brought home six PSAC East Athlete of the Awards this season and the second in a row for Robinson

Robinson put up monster numbers last week to lead the Bald Eagles to a pair of victories, headlined by an unprecedented stat line against Shepherd.

Over the two games, Robinson averaged 20 points, seven rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.5 blocks and four steals.

In the victory over Shepherd, the junior secured a “5×5” in points, assists, rebounds, steals and blocks. Robinson’s absolutely remarkable stat line included 18 points, eight rebounds, six steals, five blocks and five assists.

In the win over Mansfield, Robinson led all scorers with 21 points (10-of-16), while adding six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals.

Earlier this season, Robinson became the 16th athlete in program-history to surpass 1,000-career points.

The Bald Eagles are winners of three straight games and improved to 17-7 overall and 12-6 in the PSAC. Lock Haven remains in first place in the Eastern Division and has officially clinched a berth to the 2024-25 PSAC Championship Tournament.
