Jane L. Sweeley, 81, of Rauchtown, and a former longtime resident of Mill Hall, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Nippenose Valley Village.
Born in Beech Creek on Jan. 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Hogan and Melba (Dickey) Fisher.
Jane was married on July 17, 1987, to Darvin Sweeley. They celebrated 35 years of marriage together before his passing on Dec. 8, 2022.
She worked as a caregiver for several years throughout her lifetime.
Jane enjoyed reading recipe books, cooking, mountain rides with Darvin and spending time with her family and dog, Morgan.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Orsin, of Rauchtown, and Kelly (Bob) Marshall, of Loganton; three grandchildren, Wayne Berry, Jr., Danielle (Nate) Lavallee and Katie (Kyle) Underkoffler; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Baney, of Lock Haven, and George (Susan) Baney, of Beech Creek; and two sisters, Mary (late Earl) Hough, of Mackeyville, and Judy (Gary) Clark, of Williamsport.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Darvin Sweeley; her parents; and a brother, Paul Fisher, Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Pastor Frank Hartzel officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
