Carol A. (Bennett) Stabley

Carol A. (Bennett) Stabley, 89, of Montoursville, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at Valley View Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1936, in Jersey Shore, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Charles Bennett and Josephine (Tomb) Bennett. She and her husband Charles had a wonderful life together, happily married for 64 years until his passing in 2019.

Carol was a dedicated mother and wife. She enjoyed family activities, as well as crafting, craft shows, and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Zane C. (Angela) Stabley, of Beaverton, Ore.; three grandsons, Brandon Stabley, Gerard Stabley, and Lee Brensinger, Jr.; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Hinnerschietz; a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Mory; and three sisters, Patsy Z. (Melvin) Manning, of Pine Creek, Sharon K. Allen, of McElhattan, and Phyllis J. (Ray) Beury, of Lock Haven.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Stabley; and her daughter, Kimberley Ann Brensinger.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, March 21, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Pastor Marion E. C. Handley officiating. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, at the Funeral Home.
