Kenneth E. Muthler

Kenneth E. Muthler, 93, of McElhattan, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at his residence.

Born Feb. 7, 1931 in Lamar Twp., he was a son of the late Adam B. and Carrie (Bauder) Muthler.

He was married on Sept. 28, 1956 to the former Barbara Gardner, who survives.

Kenneth worked for Champion Auto Parts for 17 years before retiring in 1993. He was also a dairy farmer in Lamar Twp.

He enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Kenneth was a 1950 graduate of Mill Hall High School and served in the Army from 1954-1956.

Surviving are his loving wife; two sons, Bruce A. Muthler, of Salona, and Scott F. Muthler, of Castanea; a daughter, Carole D. (James) Frankenfield, of Moraga, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kellie, Jessica, Katie and Leah; and five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Franklin, Genevieve, Lewis and Brady.

Kenneth was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Harold, Arthur, Earl and Richard; and three sisters, Susan, Mary and Grace.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with the Rev. Dennis A. Smith officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lamar Twp.
