THORSTEN — Donald Wayne Thorsten, 81, of Shintown, died Sept. 17, 2024. A graveside service with military rites will be held this afternoon at 3 p.m. in North Bend Cemetery.

HOUSER — Richard L. Houser, Sr., 93, of Mill Hall, died Sept. 22, 2024. A viewing will be held today beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at noon at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Private interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

WERT — Richard E. “Dick” Wert, 88, formerly of Lock Haven, died Sept. 23, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m., at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. Private interment will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mill Hall, Pa.

WEAVER — Betty Jane Weaver, 92, of Auction Road, Mill Hall, died Sept. 20, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., in the First Church of Christ in Flemington, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall. Family and friends will be received in the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Romola Cemetery, Marsh Creek Road, rural Howard.

McCORMICK — M. Jane McCormick, 98, of Flemington, died Sept. 23, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, at 2:30 p.m., at Uniontown Cemetery, Route 44, Allenwood, Pa.

LUCAS — Russell O. Lucas, 70, of Pleasant Gap, died Sept. 18, 2024. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bellefonte on Friday, Sept. 27, with a receiving line from 5:30-6 p.m.,the memorial service from 6-7 p.m. and a reception following in the parrish hall.

DAY — Arlin R. “Sparky” Day, 91, died Aug. 31, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sept. 29 to include his family and close friends.

ROYER — Charles C. “Chick” Royer died July 12, 2024. A graveside service to honor Charles’ life will be held on Oct. 4, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Swissdale Cemetery.

HEICHEL — Joel F. Heichel, 60, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Blanchard, Pa., died June 9, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 5 from 3-6 p.m. at the home of Trudy Duck, 19 N. Chestnut St., Mill Hall. Friends, family and all who knew Joel are invited to join in sharing stories, remembering his impact and finding comfort in each other’s company.

THORSTEN — Donna Marie Thorsten (Shank), 77, of Missouri City, Texas, died Aug. 22, 2024. A small memorial service will be arranged near Renovo, with close family and friends in late November.

PICKERING — Richard Allen Pickering, 81, of North Bend, Pa., passed away Sept. 14, 2024. Services will be at the convenience of the family.

SEIBERT — Steven Richard Seibert, Jr., “Stevie”, 44, of Loganton, died Aug. 19, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.

LONG — Robert P. “Bob” Long, 53, of Howard, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held for Bob at a later date.
