Free Clothing Bank

Sausage Sale

HOWARD — Faith Chapel Church in Hunter Run is having a Sausage Sale. Orders are due before Jan. 19. Orders must be made in 5 pound increments at $4 for each pound. Pickup of your orders will be on Jan. 30 or Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 9-10 a.m. Call the church office at 814-625-2754 to place your order.

Spaghetti Dinner

MILL HALL — The Sons of Italy will be hosting a fundraising dinner to help the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall with their winter heating expenses.

The spaghetti dinner will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 4-6 p.m., at the Sons of Italy at 1 N. Henderson St., Lock Haven. The spaghetti meal includes meatballs, bread and dessert. The cost will be $10 for each meal and tickets are available by calling 570-726-4112. There will also be tickets available at the door the day of the event.

Choir Concert

LAMAR — Christians with Rhythm Choir will present “A New and Glorious Man” at Lamar United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. on Jan. 11. Refreshments will be served after the program. All are welcome to attend.

Second Monday Dinner

RENOVO — First Renovo Church on 7th Street, will hold a drive up dinner on Monday, Jan. 13, from 4-6 p.m. The meal will feature a pulled pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese, creamy coleslaw, bbq sauce and cake. The bbq sauce and slaw come on the side. The meal will be $12. It’s best to call ahead from 2-4 p.m. to reserve your meals and then come for pickup. Pre-orders are not necessary, but are appreciated! Call 570-923-1313 to pre-order or for info.

Please enter using 8th Street and come to the back porch of the church for pick-up from 4-6 p.m.

Grief Support

LOCK HAVEN — Community Grief Support is a new opportunity for men and women to gather and seek help together. The next meeting will be on Jan. 14. The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge of Covenant United Methodist Church, 44-46 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The support group is free, confidential and open to anyone. There is no work book to follow and no end date. It is designed to become an established, long-term program.

Sharon Gensib and Pamela Brauchli are the facilitators. They will open each session but the discussion will go where the group takes it.

Homemade Doughnuts

JERSEY SHORE — Trinity UM Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, will be offering fresh homemade doughnuts for sale and pick up on Thursday, Jan.16. It’s best to pre-order your doughnuts by calling 570-398-2913 on weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Extra doughnuts are always made for those who want to walk-in and buy theirs. Walk-in sales start at 7 a.m. and are available until sold out. The cost for a dozen is $7, while a half dozen is $3.50. Use the Glover Street entrance when picking up your doughnuts.

Soup Sale and Luncheon

HOWARD — Howard United Methodist Church will sponsor a community soup sale on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Soups available are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken corn and chicken noodle. Quarts for take out should be preordered by the Sunday prior to the luncheon. Contact Patti at 814-625-2182 for preorders and questions. Soup comes in freezable containers. Cost is $8 for a sit down lunch or for take-out quarts of soup. A sit down lunch includes a bowl of soup, piece of pie, roll and drink.
