Overdose

SPRING MILLS — A 38-year-old woman from Spring Mills was treated with Narcan and transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center after state police responded in addition to EMS to a report of a drug overdose on Penns Valley Road on Oct. 14, according to state police on Rockview.

Theft

GROVE PARK — Ariana Tarr, 30, of Bellefonte, had a trail camera, valued at $50, stolen from 233 Forest Pond Lane in Benner Township sometime between noon and 6 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to state police at Rockview.

Theft

CENTRE HALL — A license plate was reported stolen from 226 N. Pennsylvania Avenue in Centre Hall, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said the plate was stolen between Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. and Oct. 25 at 7 a.m.

CENTRE HALL — Connor Martz, 21, of Centre Hall, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic on Oct. 25 after an accident on Earlystown Road east of Fairview Drive, according to state police at Rockview.

JACKSONVILLE — A 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe, left unattended while stopped for an earlier crash on Interstate-80, rolled down across the grassy median entering the opposite lane of traffic, according to state police at Rockview.

The Chrevrolet was then struck by a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia, operated by 25-year-old Quentin Johnson, of Port Washington, Wis., before hitting the rear of a 2018 Mazda CX-5, operated by Elizabeth Leonard, 53, of Summit, N.J., said state police.

No injuries were reported; however, the Chevrolet and Freightliner both received disabling damage.

MILESBURG — On Oct. 25, Tina Robinson, 61, of Julian, attempted to merge onto Interstate 80 West from South Eagle Valley Road in a 2010 Honda CRV without clearance, causing Terry Runkle, 75, of Julian, to swerve to avoid her vehicle, according to state police at Rockview. However, Runkle’s 2009 Ford Ranger struck the passenger side of the Honda, causing minor damage, police said.

Theft

ORVISTON — On Oct. 28, PSP Rockview investigated an incident of theft and criminal trespass on Miller Lane in Curtin Township, involving a known male suspect who allegedly took a Ford Escape key, valued at $200, according to state police.

Charges are pending against a 46-year-old Howard man related to the theft, police said.

Harassment

JULIAN — An 8-year-old boy from Bellefonte was allegedly harassed on Sept. 23 on Five Springs Lane, Huston Township, according to state police at Rockview. No further details were provided.

Unlicensed dog

DUNNSTOWN — Sarah Bowmaster, 29, of Lock Haven, received a citation for failing to license her dog with the county after an investigation into a report of her dog attacking another dog on Crist Lane in Woodward Township on Oct. 25, according to the Woodward Township Police Department.

BELLEFONTE — Christina Zucco, 24, of Bellefonte, was charged with following too closely after causing a three-car accident on Benner Pike, north of Stone Crest Drive in Spring Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said Zucco, driving a 2017 Toyota Camry, was following too closely behind Ruth Crane, 82, of Bellefonte, who was operating a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer and had stopped for traffic. The collision caused the Trailblazer to strike a 2007 Toyota Avalon driven by a 17-year-old girl, damaging all three vehicles.

Despite wearing seatbelts, all three drivers sustained suspected minor injuries, police said.

BELLEFONTE — On Sept. 13, Judith Spangler, 77, of Bellefonte, failed to negotiate a curve on Rock Road, Benner Township, and struck the side of a 2006 Ford F250 Supercab driven by Benjamin Mersinger, 24, of Spring Mills, causing disabling damage to both vehicles, according to state police at Rockview.

Spangler was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic, and Mersinger was charged with failing to provide required financial responsibility, police said.

Hit and run

YARNELL — Gary Davey, Jr., 52, of Clay, Mich., was charged with failure to report an accident after fleeing the scene of a collision on Interstate 80, according to state police at Rockview. Davey, who was later identified in a 2004 Peterbilt 387, allegedly struck a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Econian Bexabeh, 33, of Dallas, Texas.

Rape

PLEASANT GAP — On Aug. 6, a 36-year-old man was allegedly raped by a unknown male on Insitution Drive in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Single vehicle crash

SNOW SHOE — Isaac Stoltzfus, 30, of Loysville, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after the trailer attached to his 2012 Kenworth Northwest T660 truck became airborne around a curve, causing the truck and trailer to enter a culvert and roll onto the driver’s side, according to state police at Rockview.

The truck then caught fire, requiring assistance from the Pine Glen and Snow Shoe Fire Companies to control the blaze, police said.

Stoltzfus was evaluated at the scene by Snow Shoe EMS, but did not need further treatment, police added.

SPRING MILLS — Between July 1 and July 22, PSP Rockview received a report of abuse on Pennview Lane, Gregg Township. However, an investigation determined that no crime was committed, according to state police at Rockview.

Reckless

endangerment

CASTANEA — On June 20, PSP Rockview received a sexual abuse referral (CY-104) for someone on Logan Avenue, Castanea Township, but through investigation it was determined that no crime occurred, according to state police at Rockview.

Indecent assault

CENTRE HALL — PSP Rockview was contacted about a possible indecent assault involving a child that took place between Aug. 2 and Aug.5 on Lower Brush Valley Road, Potter Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Warrant

BELLEFONTE — On Oct. 22, two people were taken into custody regarding active warrants on Cedar Street in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Drug possession

WINGATE — On Oct. 4, state police responded to Bald Eagle Area High School, South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, for a report of a known student in possession of a THC vape pen, according to state police at Rockview.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Harassment

SNOW SHOE — On Sept. 4, state police investigated an alleged harassment incident involving two victims in Snow Shoe Borough, according to state police at Rockview.

Harassment

CENTRE HALL — On Oct. 3, police responded to The Meadows Psychiatric Center, 132 The Meadows Dr., Potter Township, for a report of harassment, according to state police at Rockview.

Charges were pressed against a 28-year-old Pittsburgh woman over the incident involving a 40-year-old from Berlin, police said.

Identity theft

MONUMENT — A 54-year-old woman from Bellefonte reported that someone had tried to steal her identity on Oct. 11, according to state police at Rockview.

accident

BELLEFONTE — Ross Kyper, 37, of State College, was charged with following too closely after rear-ending Paul McCloskey, Jr., 54, of Beech Creek, on Oct. 30, according to state police at Rockview.

The incident occurred at 7 a.m. when McCloskey slowed to turn onto Penn Tech Drive from Benner Pike in his 2014 Ford Transit, and Kyper’s 2014 Ford F-250 Supercab collided with the rear of McCloskey’s vehicle, police said.
