Major fire in Dunnstable Twp.

A second alarm structure fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon at 1564 Woodward Avenue in Dunnstable Township. The property, located next to DMI International, is the old Asperline log home production area. As shown in the photos, significant damage occurred to the structures, and the billowing smoke could be seen from neighboring towns. Fire and EMS personnel from Clinton, Lycoming and Centre Counties were called to the scene and fought the blaze or were on station standby. With breezy and dry outdoor conditions, the fire escalated to a third alarm according to Pulse Point. It was later reported through the scanner system that the fire developed into a wildfire, and that DCNR was called to the scene. The official cause of the fire was not available as of press time Monday night. This is a developing story and additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
