Taco Bell keeps busy following Dec. 28 soft opening
FLEMINGTON — The bell has been rung and the people of Clinton County were more than happy to heed the call for tacos, burritos and more.
Over a week since its soft opening, Taco Bell in Flemington is still a buzzing business with an often overflowing drive thru and bustling activity indoors.
The restaurant, which held a soft opening on Saturday, Dec. 28, has seen a multitude of customers each day, with lines of cars often spilling out onto High Street in the borough.
Prior to its opening, Goodwill Hose Company requested motorists use extra caution in the area.
“While traveling through Flemington over the next week, please be cautious on High Street as the Taco Bell begins to open, as it is expected to be a busy area,” the department released on social media.
That busy area has remained in place well into the new year as residents eager to enjoy the popular food chain’s tacos, burritos and more have flocked to the area.
The opening of Taco Bell’s location in Clinton County closes a long chapter for many who were hoping to see the chain open in the area. Prior to this, the county was sandwiched between those that did have locations — Lycoming and Centre.
These include one along East Third Street in Williamsport; and three locations in State College — one along Benner Pike, another along Rolling Ridge Drive and the last along North Atherton Street.
Taco Bell is located at 559 High St., Flemington, and is open 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily except for Wednesday which is open from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
