Covenant Cafe to meet April 15

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an early stage Alzheimer’s activity group, will be held on Tuesday, April 15 from 1-3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

Kathy Arndt, a collections volunteer at the Clinton County Historical Society, will give a presentation on “Hotels of the Past in Lock Haven.” Participants are encouraged to reminisce about the hotels of the past that they remember.

Following her talk, students from Lock Haven University Health Science Club and the Public Health Club will conduct a mini-health fair with health education and screenings.

Refreshments will be served.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
