HERSHEY — This past Saturday, Haven Performing Arts Dance and Twirl teams traveled to Hershey, Pa., for their fourth competition of the 2025 Indoor Season. All four teams came home with a sweet first place victory.

Haven Performing Arts Ensemble is an independent team made up of local children aged 5-18 who either dance or twirl, and some that do both. These performers work all year long, perfecting their shows and making changes each week to improve their scores.

In May, they will travel to Wildwood, N.J., for the Atlantic Coast Championships.

Pictured are the two dance teams from Haven. The Junior Dance team is made up of young ladies aged 11-14, and they are led by coaches Jade Stasko and Courtney Rager. The name of their show this year is “Hallelujah.” Their score this weekend of 86.59 put them in the first-place position for their division this week.

When asked about this past weekend, Coach Jade says, “We are very proud of their hard work and commitment this season. This weekend they all had a job to do, and they went out and nailed their routine. There wasn’t a dry eye in the gym after they performed. We couldn’t ask for a better season so far.”

The Regional A Dance Team is made up of young ladies ages 14-18. This team is led by coaches Rachael Hanley, Megan Marino and Erin Hearn, and the name of their show this season is “I Don’t Wanna Know.” This show is a tribute to the four seniors that will be graduating this year from Central Mountain High School. Their score of 83.37 also landed them in first place in their division.

Coach Megan states, “I think this weekend was a huge confidence boost for the girls. They competed against two other units and came out with a first place win.”

Coach Rachael added, “This past weekend was the most exciting so far. A score increase, a first-place trophy and a trip to the sweetest place on Earth. The 2025 Cocoa Classic didn’t disappoint. If these girls keep up the hard work and dedication, I see a successful ending to the season!”

This coming Saturday, March 22, the teams will travel to Lake Lehman to compete.
