TODAY

— Howard United Methodist Soup Sale Luncheon, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the church. $8 pre-ordered quarts or sit down meal that includes a roll and pie. Proceeds benefit individuals in the community who are in financial need. 814-625-2182 for preorders.

— LHHS Class of 1958 will have their monthly get together at 1 p.m. at Santino’s in Jersey Shore. All classmates and their guests are invited to attend. Call Ron at 570-660-0134 for info.

— Howard Lions Bingo, 6:30 p.m., at BC Fire social hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Bingo will be held this evening rather than on the fourth Thursday that falls on Thanksgiving this month.

— Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday at the Milesburg Community Center, 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

— LIHEAP assistance at Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representative Paul Takac’s staff will assist low income families in obtaining heating assistance funds.

TOMORROW

— Howard United Methodist Church food distribution, 5 p.m. Cars can start to line up at 4 p.m., being careful not to block driveways. 814-625-2182 for info.

— Mill Hall Vol. Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Friday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Doors and the kitchen open at 5:30 p.m. The fire station and social room are located at 9 Peale Ave., Mill Hall.

SATURDAY

— LH Shoe Bank will be open at 9 a.m. for eligible families to bring their kids and teens to get free, new boots and shoes today. Appointments are required. The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is inside Covenant United Methodist Church at 44 W. Main St., and gives free new footwear for tiny tots through high school seniors, plus socks, books and a little treat. Children and teens through high school (up to age 18) are eligible if the family has Compass and if they live anywhere in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School area. Agencies, churches, schools and other organizations may refer families who need the service but don’t have Compass.

SUNDAY

— Country Jam will be held at the Yearick Center in Howard from 2-6 p.m. Hosted by the Back Porch String Band, the monthly jam session is free and open to those who want to play along or sit and enjoy the afternoon of music. A basket is passed for monetary donations to benefit the Howard Fire Company.

MONDAY

— Monday night storytime at the Ross Library, 6 p.m., for the whole family!

TUESDAY

— Story Time for Little Explorers at Ross Library for 2-5 year olds, 2:30 p.m., in the Gould Room. Stories, bubbles and crafts to spark imagination and creativity.

— LIHEAP assistance at Snow Shoe Township Building, 268 Oldside Road, Clarence, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representative Paul Takac’s staff will assist low income families in obtaining heating assistance funds.

WEDNESDAY

— Grief share program at Mackeyville United Methodist Church, 7 p.m. Open to the public on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
