JERSEY SHORE — Jersey Shore Senior High School recently announced Benjamin Dalton as the Lions Club September Student of the Month.

Ben is the son of Shawn and Colette Dalton, of Jersey Shore. A standout student-athlete, Benjamin has been a four-year member of the basketball team, serving as varsity captain in his junior year and earning varsity letters in both 10th and 11th grades. His leadership on and off the court is further highlighted by his receipt of the P.J. Fioretti Leadership, Sportsmanship and Highest GPA awards for his basketball team.

Alongside his athletic achievements, Benjamin has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning a spot on the distinguished honor roll every marking period.

Beyond his accomplishments in sports and academics, Benjamin has made his mark in other areas of student life. He has been an active participant in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), where he placed fourth in the region for Accounting 2 and is also a member of the National Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta.

His strong work ethic extends beyond school, as he works part-time at Pizza 2 Go and volunteers as a basketball referee at the YMCA. His contributions to the community have not gone unnoticed, as he was the recipient of the Abe Snyder Youth Award for the River Valley YMCA.

Outside of school, Benjamin enjoys staying active by playing basketball, pickleball, golf and kayaking, as well as hiking and watching sports. He also values spending quality time with his friends and family.

After high school, Benjamin plans to attend college to pursue a degree in actuarial science, a field where his academic excellence and analytical skills will surely continue to shine.

His dedication to academics, athletics and service makes him a deserving recipient of the Lions Club Student of the Month award.
