— Howard Scout Troop will be “Scouting for Food” in Howard. Have your donations of food to benefit the local food bank in a plastic bag and placed on your porch before 8 a.m. for the scouts to pick up. — Halloween Parade in Lock Haven, 10 a.m. Vehicles and floats should line up at 9:30 a.m. in the area of North Henderson Street. Floats will be given awards. Parade ends at Triangle Park where free games and refreshments will be given out. In case of rain, an indoor party will be held at the Eastside Fire Rescue on E. Church St., formerly Hope Hose Fire Co.

— Hear the personal story of Dioany Yosuino, a young lady who received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox as a young girl in Venezuela, at 1 p.m. at the Park Forest Baptist Church, 3030 Carnegie Drive, State College. You’ll also learn how to pack a shoebox for OCC this year. If you want, bring your packed and ready shoebox to the church, a drop off point for this year’s OCC shoebox collection.
