Class of 1970

Lock Haven High School Class of 1970 will be holding a meeting to plan their 55th class reunion next summer. The meeting will be held at the Shamrock, 198 Shamrock St., Lock Haven, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Classmates are invited to attend the meeting to give thoughts and ideas for planning the reunion. Donations needed

Roads to Peace is in need of: toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, 12 gallon garbage bags, hand and dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, razors, shaving cream, face wash, deodorant, gently used cutlery, pots/pans, bottled water, juice boxes, easy to prepare meals and snacks, dish sets and unused bedding. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!

Grief support at Covenant UMC

Community Grief Support meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The church has a parking lot next to the building. Use the handicap-accessible entrance. This is an ongoing informal group. Its mission is to provide a circle of compassionate listeners who have lost loved ones and are looking for a safe place to talk or just listen to others’ experience and coping strategies. Two facilitators lead the sessions, Sharon Gensib and Pam Brauchli.
