Bottorf named Lock Haven Kiwanis president for 2024-2025 year; officers sworn in

As a new year began in October, the Lock Haven Kiwanis Club’s 2024-2025 President, Melissa Bottorf, was passed the gavel by Immediate Past President Joe Waltz during a recent club meeting. Pictured at right with Bottorf, center, and Waltz, right, is Pennsylvania Kiwanis District Lt. Gov. Nichole Goss. During the meeting, other positions were also settled and a photo taken of the 2024-2025 board and its officers. They are, pictured above, from left, President Elect Ben Green, Waltz, board members Steve Stevenson, Laura Hansen and Angela Harding, kneeling, Vice President Laura Jameson, board members Wilson Riccardo and Kristy Schlesinger, Bottorf, Treasurer J. Michael Williamson, board member Beth Riccardo and Secretary Conrad Schlesinger. The club meets every Thursday at noon at the Sons of Italy on the third floor. The focus of the club is community service and supporting youth in the greater Lock Haven area. They do this by reading books at day care centers, volunteering at Robb Elementary, donating to youth programs, helping build beds at Sleep in Heavenly Peace and through various other avenues.
