Daniel Jerry Moyer, 57, of 612 W. Winter Road, Loganton, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born on Aug. 20, 1955 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Jerry Sylvanus and Beatrice Pauline (Brungart) Moyer.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1978.
For the past 17 years, he had been employed by the State Correctional Institute at Rockview.
Dan was a founding member of the Susquehanna Big Twins Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was an avid hunter and an Arizona Cardinals football fan.
He was married to the former Donna M. (Confer) on Aug. 3, 1985, who survives. He later married Ivy Y. (Edioy) on May 3, 2011, who also survives.
Other survivors include his three sons, Zachary Moyer of Lock Haven, Ian Moyer of Mill Hall and Gunner Moyer of Loganton; a brother, Fred Brungart of York and a sister, Josephine Hoffman of Lewisburg.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, with Pastor Ken Geisewite officiating. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. Final interment will be held in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Logan Mills.
