McELHATTAN - The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority is sponsoring the PSATS "CDL Probable Cause Training" on April 25.
This is a federally-required training for employers with CDL employees. These federal regulations require each employer must train all supervisory personnel in handling suspected on-the-job drug or alcohol use. This session addresses these federal requirements by providing supervisory personnel with a working understanding of the federal CDL regulations, including on-the-job probable cause procedures.
The second part of the training day will be the "CMV/CDL Records Management Workshop." This workshop was developed to help employers understand all the records they should be maintaining for their commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) and the employees that operate them. In Pennsylvania, a CMV is generally any vehicle weighing more than 17,000 pounds used on public roads. Each workshop participant will receive a course instructional packet containing copies of each form and detailed directions on their use.
The trainings will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:00 p.m. at Restless Oaks Restaurant in McElhattan. Registrations will be accepted until April 16 or until seats are filled. There is a cost for the trainings.
To register for the trainings or for more information contact Lisa Brown at 769-6977.
