LOCK HAVEN - A 19-year-old male from Lock Haven overdosed on heroin Wednesday evening along the German Road in Dunnstable Township, Tpr. Shane Buffone of the state police at Lamar said. Police said the teen was taken to Lock Haven Hospital for treatment.
LOCK HAVEN - City police are investigating the theft of a Ruger 9mm handgun and Sony digital camera from 112 W. Park St. The theft occurred within the last 30 days and the loss was estimated at $550, police said.
RENOVO - Frederick L. Risley, 57, of Westport, suffered a minor injury in a mishap with a car Wednesday at Eighth Street, Tpr. Michael J. Flook of the state police at Lamar said. Samantha J. Marrlow, 36, of Renovo, pulled her 2002 Pontiac Sunfire from a parking place and the driver's side door struck Risely, police said. Risley drove himself to Bucktail Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
RENOVO - Sean R. Poleto, 19, of Renovo, crashed his 2005 Chevrolet Malibu on Route 120 in Chapman Township Thursday at 5:05 a.m., Tpr. Kenneth L. Riggle Jr. of the state police at Lamar said. Poleto was driving east on Route 120 when his car skidded onto the left berm and crashed into a parapet, police said. There were no injuries, police said.
LOCK HAVEN -City police are investigating several cases of vandalism in which sideview mirrors were damaged over late Friday or early Saturday:
- The mirror to a car parked on Fourth Street near Spring Street sustained $350 damage late Friday or early Saturday, police said.
- In the lot of Evergreen Commons, both sideview mirrors of a vehicle sustained $600 damage, police said.
- A parked vehicle had its sideview mirror kicked off on Fourth Street, for $500 damage, police said.
Drunk driving alleged
LOCK HAVEN - Kyle H. Robinson, 19, of 323 Bush Hollow Road, Julian, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:37 a.m. Saturday on North Fairview Street, city police said. Robinson was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.
LOCK HAVEN - Jayson J. Thompson, 20, of Pottsville, was cited for public intoxication and possession of an open container of alcoholic beverage while along South Fairview Street Saturday at 1:51 a.m., city police said.
LOCK HAVEN - A glass door of a residence was damaged by vandalism Sunday in the 100 block of East Main Street, city police said.
Hit and runs
LOCK HAVEN - A parked 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander was damaged in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday on Fourth or Fifth street, city police said. The owner told police she was uncertain where she parked the vehicle, but returned from class to discover it had been damaged by a red vehicle, judging from the evidence. Also, a parked 2004 Hyundai Elantra was damaged by a hit-and-run vehicle Saturday at the rear of 217 N. Henderson St., city police said. Damage occurred to the passenger side door, police said.
CASTANEA - A utility trailer was knocked off its cinder blocks Wednesday or Thursday, Tpr. Sheridan of the state police at Lamar said. The trailer, owned by Ray Crissman of 2 Nittany Road, rolled off the blocks, causing damage to the tail lights and light casing, police said. Damage was estimated at $200, police said.
MILL HALL - Barbara Jean Payne, 36, of Renovo, was cited for retail theft Thursday at 7 p.m. at Kmart, 1 Millbrook Plaza, Bald Eagle Township, Tpr. Ritrosky of the state police at Lamar said. Payne allegedly stole miscellaneous health and beauty products, clothing items, stationary and household air fresheners, all valued at $573, police said. Payne was placed in Clinton County Correctional Facility on a probation violation, police said.
Hit and run
LAMAR - A tractor-trailer was involved in a hit-and-run accident Thursday at 10:45 p.m. in the lot of Flying J Plaza in Porter Township, Tpr. Sheridan of the state police at Lamar said. An unidentified rig struck a 2005 International truck owned by Roberts Trucking Inc. of Eldorado, Wisc., police said.
LINDEN - A number of checks were forged in the name of Johanna Pepperman, 77, of Linden, and were cashed by a known male between Nov. 4 and Saturday, Tpr. Erik J. Bartlett of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said. Police said the investigation is continuing and anybody with information about the episode is asked to call 368-5700.
DUNNSTOWN - Somebody tried to enter the Woodward Automotive Center, 105 Woodward Ave., between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening, Woodward Township police said. The glass of the front door was smashed in, police said, but no entry was made into the building.
Damage was estimated at $300, police said.
DUNNSTOWN - A motorist left the Minit-Mart, 25 Woodward Ave., without paying for $31 in gasoline Sunday, Woodward Township police said.
RENOVO - A chainsaw was stolen Monday from the home of Robert Duvall, 48, of 24 Duvall Lane, Noyes Township, Tpr. Wilson of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Anybody with information about the theft is asked to call police at 726-6000.
WOOLRICH - A window was broken in an act of vandalism between Friday and Monday at the headquarters of H.W. Raymond in Dunnstable Township, Tpr. Christopher Wilson of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.
FARRANDSVILLE - Katherine Olivia Williams, 18, of Lock Haven, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a crash Sunday at 9:28 p.m. on the Farrandsville Road near Woodward Park in Woodward Township, Tpr. Christopher Wilson of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Williams lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road and her vehicle struck a guiderail, police said. Police arriving at the scene determined that Williams was under the influence of alcohol, and that her passenger, a 17-year-old male of Lock Haven, had consumed alcohol as a minor. There were no injuries, police said.
