Kennard L. Pruey, 55, of 1046 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at his residence.
He was born May 24, 1955 in Lock Haven, a son of the late Andrew and Margaret Foringer Pruey. On June 13, 2008 in Lock Haven he married the former Margaret Kinley who survives.
He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School, and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was employed as a carpenter and laborer most recently with Ravco, of Lock Haven.
He was a member of the Castanea Fire Hall, the VFW and American Legion of Lock Haven. He was an accomplished pool shooter and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Kennard, Jr. and David; one daughter Destiny Pruey; six step-daughters, Stephanie (Ben) Cross, Tracey Geyer, Nicole Baer, Ashley Baer, and Crystal and Becka; four brothers, Butch Pruey of Huntingdon, Jim (Cathy) Pruey of Williamsport, Andrew Pruey of Homestead, Fla. and William Smolar Jr. of Carlton, Ga.; eight sisters, Deborah Andrus and Darlene Gilbert, both of Lock Haven, Shari Connelly of Dunnstown, Theresa Smolar of Carrolton, Ga., Rhonda (Mike) Heively of Lock Haven, Tamera Smolar of Lock Haven, Racine Smolar of Clovis, N.M., Tris Smolar of Tucson, Ariz.; a niece Brenda (Harlan) Morgan of Newnan, Ga., five granchildren, and 12 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother John Pruey.
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
