BELLEFONTE - Two people, including the victim's wife, were arrested last night in connection with the murder of Samuel (Sammy) Boob, 29, of Centre Hall.
Ronald Heichel, 29, of Bellefonte, and Mirinda Boob, 27, wife of the victim, of Centre Hall, were scheduled for video arraignment this morning at the Centre County Prison on murder charges.
They were taken into custody last night, state police at Rockview said.
Samuel Boob died of multiple gunshot wounds Sunday between 9:25 and 10:05 a.m., and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, according to police and the Centre County Coroner's office.
Centre County District Attorney Michael Madiera confirmed the results of the autopsy Monday and said the investigation was continuing.
Police report that Boob, 29, of 383 Tusseyville Road, was found inside the home he shared with his wife and four children, but offered no further details about the crime or subsequent investigation.
The arrests were the result of a five-day investigation into Boob's murder, police said.
Police said Magisterial District Judge Leslie Dutchocot is in charge of arraignment and given the nature of the charges the defendants will be held without bail.
