SURVIVING the STORM
Dr. Gary Nelson
LOCK HAVEN — A nationally known speaker is coming to Lock Haven University to share information with everyone on campus and in the wider community about depression and suicide. Those who attend one (or both) of his two presentations will leave armed with things they should know about these scourges that strike many young people of college age. Dr. Gary Nelson will present “Surviving the Storm: What Students Should Know about Suicide and Depression.” He will give his first, informational program Monday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Parsons Union Building’s Multi-Purpose Room (the PUB MPR). The following day, also at 7 p.m. in the PUB MPR, Nelson will present a faith-based program on the topics. The program is sponsored by Protestant Campus Ministry, Newman Catholic Community, Full Gospel Student Fellowship and New Life Student Fellowship.
