Tractor overturns LOCK HAVEN — Robert S. Benfield, 65, of Lock Haven, suffered moderate injuries in a tractor accident on the Carrier Road in Gallagher Township Friday afternoon, emergency officials said. The accident was caused by engine and brake failure, according to state police. Police said Benfield was traveling south when the engine stalled, and the tractor coasted backwards and ran into an embankment before rolling over. Benfield was taken to Jersey Shore Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, police said. Vehicles collide CLINTONDALE — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 64 near the Clintondale Hill Road in Porter Township Saturday morning, state police at Lamar said. According to police, David F. Benner, 62, of Bellefonte, and William C. Gavlock, 40, of Mill Hall, were both traveling north on Route 64 when Benner pulled to the right side to attempt a U-turn.
