Three Lady Eagle laxers honored as All-Americans

LOCK HAVEN — Three members of the Lock Haven University lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and U.S. Lacrosse NCAA Division II All-American Team.

Both junior Jessica Blickenstaff and sophomore Leigh Titus earned a spot on the first team, while freshman Kathleen Zichelli earned All-American status after grabbing a spot on the second team.

This marks the third straight time Blickenstaff has earned All-American honors in her remarkable three-year career as a Lady Eagle. Titus and Zichelli are both first-time All-Americans. Both Bickenstaff and Titus were members of the 2008 IWLCA South All-Region First Team, while Zichelli was a second teamer.

Blickenstaff led LHU in every major offensive category including goals, assists and points with 75, 43 and 188, respectively. She also had a team-high five game-winning goals.
