Mary L. Allison Mary L. Allison, 80, of Avis, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 in Geisinger Medical Center. Born in Lock Haven on Nov. 30, 1928, she was a daughter of George and Ruth Martz Bowman. She had been a member of the former Fairpoint United Methodist Church and had worked at Champion Parts. Surviving are a son, Robert S. Allison Jr. of Lock Haven; a daughter, Gail M. Osokow of Williamsport; a brother, Dean Bowman of Mill Hall; two sisters, Belva Zell of Avis and Helen Munro of Salona; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Allison; and two brothers, Fred and Robert Bowman. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities. Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
